At its current market price of Rupees 10,500/- in India, P3400i is the best choice amongst PDA phones, nothing else can march its price! The menu interaction is smooth and fast, it never takes inordinately long to open and close programes. The applicaion satus viewer at the top right hand corner of the screen is a boon to view application left unclosed and they can be closed from this one tap button. The voice clarity is quite good, though the volume could have been a bit louder for outdoor use. But the ring tones blare out loud enough for you to hear in traffic conditions. The camera option has many features to play around with, but end viewing pleasuer is restricted due to low colour resolution of the screen which by the way is very good for browsing due to its large size. Browsing speed is ok with GPRS, we don't have EDGE here. But at least UTMS should have been available in this phone. Pixel resolution is just right for browsing though. Haven't tried any video effects yet. Windows mobile Word and Excel come pre-loaded and fully functional, but the power point is only a viewer and presentations cannot be prepared. However the calculator is basic, PDA phones should have more advanced calculator, at least semi-scientific. But the best feature is the media player and its awesome output. The handset comes with stereo headset which offer fantastic effects. The clarity of range , pitch, trebble, bass coupled with choice of preset effects or 10-band equalizer offers amzing listening pleasure. I dare say it matches some of the top end Sony-ericsson walkman series and certainly betters Nokia's express music range. Since external memory is expandable upto 4 GB, one can have quite a blast with this phone if one is a music-freak.
The phone is minus 3G and Wi-fi. But with the availability of SD wi-fi cards high speed browsing should not be a problem. Anyone trying this out, please give feedback. All in all a very good buy, at least it has me feeling good ever since I bought it 10 days back.
